CONGRESSMAN PETE SESSIONS (R-TX) TOURS PROPATH TO UNDERSTAND THE VITAL ROLE OF PATHOLOGY IN PATIENT CARE
Dallas, TX (October 22, 2008)- Congressman Pete Sessions visited today and met with several ProPath pathologists and staff members to get a hands-on demonstration of the critical and expanding role that pathology plays in patient care. Congressman Sessions was greeted and given a tour of ProPath's state-of-the-art medical facilities by cofounder and senior partner E.P. Jenevein, M.D.
At the conclusion of the tour, Congressman Sessions issued the following statement:
“North Texas has become a center for leading-edge medical care and facilities, and ProPath Laboratory is an important part of our region’s healthcare capabilities. From breast cancer detection to immune disorder discovery, pathology is central to a 21st century health care system, delivering life-saving disease diagnoses and patient-centered treatment options.
In Congress, I support eliminating outdated and overly-burdensome regulations that inhibit the doctor/patient relationship. I rely on physicians, like those at ProPath, to provide quality care, and I am pleased for the opportunity to see firsthand the innovative medical technologies and research conducted at ProPath laboratory in Dallas.”
